COILED TUBING DOWNHOLE FORCE GENERATOR
(The StarForce Tool)
The application of the coiled tubing (CT) has provided diversified techniques of intervention in demanding downhole operations. A significant limitation for expanding its applications is the available force at the end of the CT, especially in long horizontal sections and large bores.
Star Oil Tools has developed a CT downhole force generator that can provide a very large force at the end of the CT, without exerting any load on the CT itself.
An electro-mechanical actuator powered by an electric gear motor generates the required downhole force.
KEY FEATURES
1. Allows for flow through the tool.
2. Reduces the repeated mechanical stress on the CT.
3. Smaller size CT and lighter equipment can be used in heavy duty intervention
operations.
